The run in the St. Louis area is on Monday May 20th. The purpose of RFTW is “to promote healing among ALL veterans and their families and friends, to call for an accounting of all Prisoners of War and those Missing in Action (POW/MIA), to honor the memory of those Killed in Action (KIA) from all wars, and to support our military personnel all over the world. Motorcyclists join predetermined routes and will arrive in Wentzville @5pm to spend the night at VFW Post 5327 (1414 Highway Z) en route to the Capital. Scouts and other supporters line the streets as the riders parade through, then join them at the VFW for fellowship afterward (would be good to have more participation for this). Contact Mike Taylor for more details. Gates open at 11 a.m. and we should enter at the entrance of the National Guard base (adjacent to the cemetery). The precession starts at 12:30 and the ceremony starts at 1 p.m. Make sure to bring plenty of water and a snack or sack lunch, and rain gear (just in case).
